Model Domestic Violence Policy
The Model Domestic Violence Policy is offered as a tool to counties in their efforts to strengthen responses to domestic violence. The document was developed by OPDV in collaboration with many New York State public and private entities and with extensive public comment received from communities across the state.

and Accountability Audit Project
OPDV participated in this inter-disciplinary project, working with a community to assess the local response to domestic violence. The project, developed by Ellen Pence of Duluth, Minnesota, was designed to examine whether institutional policies and practices enhance victim safety and enforce offender accountability. Recommendations for preventive and protective strategies, guidelines and legislation to reduce domestic violence; recommends improvements in services to victims of domestic violence and their families; and assesses whether a Fatality Review Board should be created to examine domestic violence fatalities.
